Fire NW GP?

There is a smoke column over towards NW GP. At least 4 firetrucks have gone by my work.

Anyone know what's on fire?

Residential structure fire in the mobile park in the 2300 block of Highland (between Highland and Vine, behind Great Western Auctioneers).

Structure Fire destroys mobile home

TYPE OF INCIDENT: Structure Fire CASE NO. 10-01380
DATE OF INCIDENT: 02/15/2010 TIME OF INCIDENT: 14:54 hrs.
LOCATION: 2325 Highland Ave. #21, Grants Pass, Or. 97526
NEWS RELEASE COMPLETED BY: Fire Marshal Brian Pike DATE: 02/15/10 TIME: 19:50 hrs.

DETAILS:
On the above date and time, units from the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to a single wide mobile home on fire in the Country View Mobile Home Park located at 2325 Highland Ave. space #21. The first fire engine arrived within five minutes and advised the mobile home was heavily involved with fire. In all, three engines from Grants Pass DPS, and two engines and a water tender from the Rural Metro Fire Department responded. Police units and American Medical Response also responded.

The owners, Edward and Colleen Brown along with a care giver were at home at the time of the fire. Mrs. Brown saw smoke coming from the roof and drifting by the window. Her husband went outside to investigate and discovered the home to be on fire. All three occupants were able to exit the home safely. Mrs. Brown and the care giver, Mary Gallagher were transported to Three Rivers Community Hospital for evaluation.

The mobile home is a total loss along with the majority of the contents. The home and contents are valued at approximately $30,000.00. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
