User ReviewsRated by: valsh Rating: 11-29-2007 05:43 PMReview Text If this restaurant had beer and a cozier setting I would consider an A+.
We had spring rolls for an appetizer,
and sorry I don't remember the names of the dish's but one was a shrimp and red pepper dish while the other was a eggplant and tofu (or chicken) special. Both dish's where ordered hot and they where perfect for our taste. The spring rolls where great, crunchy and flaky, obviously fresh oil was used as they where clean tasting and not too oily. The eggplant was cooked wonderfully and the shrimps where wonderful.
There was enough food after stuffing ourselves for lunches the next day. Rated by: angel Rating: 08-16-2007 03:53 PMReview Text This is my all-time favorite Thai restaurant. I've been eating here for over twenty years- back when Pongsri still owned it! I went to lunch there today to have a lite lunch with a friend of mine and, as usual, it was amazing! The chicken satay with peanut sauce is my favorite thing - I could eat the sauce with a spoon! The only complaint is that they can get pretty slow when they're busy (like today) so if you're on a tight schedule you should probably go elsewhere. You can't beat the food though! Good food although, my tofu curry could have been spicier and my son's shrimp with baby corn was lackluster and w/o baby corn. The special shrimp and scallops in garlic sauce was very good. Rated by: spicedrum Rating: 05-21-2007 07:05 PMReview Text So I read some of the reviews from here tonight, and we decided to give it a try. I had the mint leaf chili dish, and the wifey had the pineapple fried rice..
The lady that served us asked me if I wanted my dish a little hot, or nice and spicy....needless to say, right now my stomach is full and my mouth has finally cooled off. It was an amazing dish. The mix of flavors, and the SUPER spicyness of the chilis were great. I don't think I would advise to get the "nice and spicy" version, due to how damn hot it was. I seriously was bright red when I finished. Acutally I didn't even finish it all. I rated it a A- just due to the fact "nice and spicy" was slightly over-rated. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice spicy thai dish! The wifey loved her pineapple fried rice! She said it was very flavorful. This is probably one of my favorite places to it in town, definately in my top 3. Rated by: Dezigngrl Rating: 01-26-2007 06:45 PMReview Text Pam and Tom are wonderful hosts. They have the best Asian food I've ever tasted. They buy all their fruits and veggies at Harry and David's!! Pam knows everyone in town on a first name basis it seems. Friendly, great food, and good prices Rated by: dgood Rating: 01-19-2007 11:21 AMReview Text Pongsri's is the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to. Insanely great food in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. I love this place. Rated by: member925 Rating: 01-10-2007 03:09 PMReview Text I love the spicy chow mein and the spicy Siam fried rice. The spicier the better! Also, the deep fried mushrooms are excellent, and if you have room, be sure to order the coconut ice cream. It's heavenly. The spicy eggplant is so good, I don't know whether I'll ever be able to bring myself to order anything else. I used to think Thai BBQ was the best Thai restaurant in GP, but Pongsri is even better!
