Portions might be considered a little bit small for some but the food is absolutely fantastic. I would like to be able to recommend a favorite but the menu is always changing. I can say that every meal my wife and I have had has been very good. Definitely worth making a reservation for.

This was such a nice surprise. Our expectation levels in Grants Pass have not usually been met by many restaurants. We are not picky. We just like nice service, friendly folks, good tasting food, served hot, and priced affordably. This little bistro met all of above, exceptionally well. It is a cute little place, with only 8 tables (so reservations are usually a good idea). The husband and wife who run it, are very experienced in the food business. They know what they are doing, and then do it well.

It is primarily Pacific Asian type fare. We had a delightful spring type roll for an appetizer with a gingery sauce that was so tasty, we wish we had ordered double. Entrees for our party included my Scallops in a lemongrass infused sauce (delicious), a crispy sweet asian chicken dish (excellent) a pork entree with a lemony sauce.

They could use a little more work on the presentation. It was somewhat ordinary, for such wonderful food. Portions are fair sized. We had room to split desserts and order two. The first was a peach crisp that was so refreshing and tart, it was the perfect end to a meal. The second was a chocolate and almond or peanut butter decadence, that I liked, but wasn't raving about it. The owner overheard me, and came over with a glass of port to have with it. Oh my! It married to the dish perfectly, and enhanced the experience.

This will definitely be a repeat experience for us.

Would have rated an A minus except for the fact that the ribeye (if in fact it WAS a ribeye) was tough and sinewy. It was tasty and had been marinated but was too chewy for a ribeye.

Dim Sum platter rated an A. Salmon with coconut curry rated an A. Service got an A.

A friend took me here for my birthday a few weeks ago. I am officially hooked.
We started off with a wine the server/owner suggested to pair with our meals & both the flat bread and thai shrimp appetizers. I could've eaten an entire meal of the bread alone: kalamata olives, fresh roma tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and goat cheese atop fresh bread. My mouth is watering just remembering how good it was. For dinner my friend had the kobe ribs appetizer and raved about how good they were. I had a grilled mahi-mahi with a green curry sauce - delightful! The fresh vegetables were cooked to perfection and lightly seasoned. I couldn't have asked for more in a meal.

If you decide to try Aja, be sure to call ahead for reservations. We made ours for 6pm and the place was packed! Prices seemed reasonable considering the quality of the food - I had expected to pay much more. I will be sure to go back again - soon!

LOVE IT! We went for the first time in mid January - can't wait to go back. You should make reservations because it's quite small, but has a friendly atmosphere and amazing food. I had snapper breaded with Panko and seasonings (three very nice sized pieces), served over fresh stir fry veggies and drizzled lightly with their homemade teriyaki sauce. It came with tasty sticky rice. Husband had lamb ragout which was fantastic. Lots of lamb in a ragout flavored with hoison, ginger, garlic and maybe some sesame. It was amazing - no flavor was overpowering but complemented each other perfectly. Tim helped us choose a wine that paired perfectly with our entrees. And for dessert.....oh my god! Chocolate chip shortcakes with white chocolate mousse and bananas drizzled lightly with carmel and chocolate. We were supposed to "share" it....I think I still have fork marks on my hand....my husband was a crazy man for this dessert.
