User ReviewsRated by: angel Rating: 05-20-2008 08:49 AMReview Text A friend took me here for my birthday a few weeks ago. I am officially hooked.
We started off with a wine the server/owner suggested to pair with our meals & both the flat bread and thai shrimp appetizers. I could've eaten an entire meal of the bread alone: kalamata olives, fresh roma tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and goat cheese atop fresh bread. My mouth is watering just remembering how good it was. For dinner my friend had the kobe ribs appetizer and raved about how good they were. I had a grilled mahi-mahi with a green curry sauce - delightful! The fresh vegetables were cooked to perfection and lightly seasoned. I couldn't have asked for more in a meal.
If you decide to try Aja, be sure to call ahead for reservations. We made ours for 6pm and the place was packed! Prices seemed reasonable considering the quality of the food - I had expected to pay much more. I will be sure to go back again - soon! Great selections and opportunities to try different items as menu is reasonable & interesting! I'll be back... Rated by: Phoenix Rating: 01-30-2007 04:16 PMReview Text LOVE IT! We went for the first time in mid January - can't wait to go back. You should make reservations because it's quite small, but has a friendly atmosphere and amazing food. I had snapper breaded with Panko and seasonings (three very nice sized pieces), served over fresh stir fry veggies and drizzled lightly with their homemade teriyaki sauce. It came with tasty sticky rice. Husband had lamb ragout which was fantastic. Lots of lamb in a ragout flavored with hoison, ginger, garlic and maybe some sesame. It was amazing - no flavor was overpowering but complemented each other perfectly. Tim helped us choose a wine that paired perfectly with our entrees. And for dessert.....oh my god! Chocolate chip shortcakes with white chocolate mousse and bananas drizzled lightly with carmel and chocolate. We were supposed to "share" it....I think I still have fork marks on my hand....my husband was a crazy man for this dessert.
