We had another lovely meal at MMs. The calamari appetizer was lightly breaded and perfectly fried and they were little calamaris, not the tough old steak. What a treat! Casual elegant atmosphere and fine friendly service. We'll be back!

Went in for dinner with a friend Friday night. The place was full but we were assured the wait wouldn't be long, so we agreed to have a glass of wine at the bar while waiting for a table. Over 20 minutes later there were tables available, but no one was bussing them so we gave up and decided to eat at the bar.

Dinner was amazing. I had the Chicken Oscar with the sauce on the side and it literally melted in my mouth. The chicken was cooked to perfection and had incredible flavor. I could've eaten an entire plate of the tuscan smashed potatoes alone: rich, creamy, and just the perfect hint of garlic. The veggies were also crisp and delicious. My friend loved her chicken, artichoke heart, and pancetta fussili pasta. After just one bite I knew I'd order it the next time I was in. For dessert we ordered the chocolate raspberry tort. Simply put - perfection.

They have a nice selection of wines for a small bar and an interesting assortment of top shelf mixed drinks. The bartender was very friendly and accomodating - he made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal.

My only reservation about Miranda Mae's is that they have more than enough people working there, but things didn't seem to be getting done. Tables sat dirty for more than ten minutes while people were waiting to be seated. With such a great atmosphere and amazing food they could become a favorite place to eat - but not until they get an efficient staff.

Tonight we started with an appetizer. The seared ahi coated with toasted sesame seeds and the wasabi vinaigrette was excellent. My husband loved his plain martini, on the rocks with two olives. Now that's class! His Chicken Oscar with asparagus spears, topped with crab meat and tarragon Bearnaise sauce was lovely. It came with steamed vegetables and he chose the twice baked potato. Shame on him.
My side Caesar salad with salmon was a bit disappointing. The salmon was less than fresh and the romaine leaves were a bit leathery. They'd have it down if they just used the more tender hearts of romaine and grilled a fresh piece of salmon.
Next time I might have to skip the lovely appetizers and go straight for the main course.

Three of us went to dinner and all of us had the Rib eye steak with twice baked potatoes. My wife and I shared a appetizer I believe was a crab cheesecake which was ok. Our dinners were all very good. The steak was done exactly how i wanted it and tasted very good. The potato was huge and both vegetable and potato were very good. The deserts we all had were screamin' good and I recommend everyone try them. I felt the prices were reasonable for what it was, I have definatly paid more for less. The one thing that needs to be worked out is the service. Our party did not have to wait too long but I had to ask for another glass of wine for the ladies and another beer for myself. I did notice other tables getting frustrated by the service. Overall it was a pleasurable experience.

Enjoyed a nice lunch on Monday with my daughter. I had the house salad and the taste and size were both terrific. Nice dressing, garnished with pecans and cranraisins. Wish some type of roll or bread was served with it though.
The atmosphere was pleasant and decor well done. Wishing them good luck in their future. I'll be back.

Took the kiddo here tonight - we tried to go Tuesday (Dec. 26) for the kiddo's birthday, but they were closed. Before you ask, I take my daughter to fine restaurants often - she's very mature for her age and loves being a foodie with her mom :).

I gave a B- because I noticed a few issues tonight. We got there early (4:30), and the place was empty. The staff was readying for the evening, but I noticed the owner was not around, and it was obvious from the actions of the staff. People were coming in to visit with them, there was a lot of horseplay in the kitchen. That doesn't bother me so much except they weren't as attentive as they could have been. Once the owner came in though, it shaped right up.

I ordered the Lobster Ravioli, and the kiddo had the Tuscan Style Pork Medallions with Tuscan Smashed Potatoes. We were given a yummy, chewy ciabatta roll to share while waiting for our food.

And waiting. And waiting....it took about 20 minutes from ordering to serving, and since we had both skipped lunch, we were STARVING.

My ravioli was BEYOND delicious. It had nice chunks of lobster, and the green and red stripes on the ravioli were beautiful. It was nicely plated. The sauce was just a little too lemony for my taste, but I don't care for lemon much so it was probably just my taster.

The kiddo's dinner - the pork was terrific. The smashed potatoes were runny, cold, and tasted.....well, odd. Kind of.....old? I'm not sure how to put it. I normally love skin-on potatoes, but it almost tasted like the were unwashed. Maybe it was because they were so cold. She didn't eat them and I didn't force her to after tasting them. The veggies were gorgeous, she snarfed those right down.

The waitress boxed the kiddo's leftovers, then brought a cup of ice cream with a candle for her birthday. It was a nice touch.

I really have high hopes for this place, but with the picky eaters in this area, there will be some tough competition in the higher priced restaurants. if other diners experience the staff and food issues that we did. I say higher priced because our two dinners and drinks (tea for me, Romano's soda for the kiddo) came up to $32, which puts them in the higher price category for MY budget.

I have had lunch there twice with friends and the sandwiches are terrific. The "chips" they serve with them could be left off the plate however. A potatoe or mac salad would be better. Not very appealing. I would suggest that Christy hire a hostess to greet the customers. We waited for atleast 10 minutes while they cleared tables and replaced settings before we were even approached. Not good! The serve was slightly faster the second time we were there. I enjoyed the atmosphere and she did a great job of decorating. We will go back as I firmly believe that it takes a good month or two before things start to flow comfortably and the kinks are worked out. Try the Turkey/Bacon sandwich, warmed. Oh Yum!

Had a late lunch with my grams here today. I have to start off by saying WOW - the decor is fantastic!! I LOVE the yellow and black theme. Very chic.

We were greeted quickly and seated. My grams had coffee and I tried their awesome gourmet tea. It was nicely presented, with sugar cubes and a bowl of honey rather than the usual packets. A nice touch!

I had the roast beef sandwich on ciabatta, while grams had the shrimp melt. Both sandwiches were delicious, but gram's shrimp looked awesome! Big, bursty shrimp all the way through.

The only complaint I had was the piano - it is a player (plays by itself) piano, which is fine - but the room is too small for it, and conversation is nearly impossible at times. Otherwise, I'm delighted that we have this great new restaurant and can't wait to go back to try dinner there!

They did a nice job decorating and utilizing the small space. The food is good and the desserts are awesome. Probably the best tirimisu I've ever had.

Nice selection of sandwiches and salads for lunch. The dessert menu looks awesome! Unfortunately,we had to wait an extended time for our lunch as it seems our lunch order had gotten lost. We sat there for about half an hour with only lemon aid, tea and sugar cubes.
We really enjoyed our lunch when it finally arrived and I know we'll be back because everything on the menu looked delicious.
Oh, and there was a ghost playing the piano. (wink)
