I just don't like pressed meat and I can tell when I'm ordering an open faced hot sandwich if the Turkey is pressed meat or real. Service is just so so. Not my first, second or even fifth choice. Ok if you are starving though and nothing else is open.

At first I felt like I was an inconvenience when arrived. I ordered Belgium waffle with strawberries my husband biscuits and gravy. Both were served under room temp. and the server didnt return to my table until the bill was placed down. Very disapointed !

I have only been to Black Forest a few times. What I remember from my visits is that they were always short staffed, although tried to make up for it by being attentive to their customers. The hamburgers were good, even though I had to wait at least 20-30 min before being served.

I would go there again but I wouldn't make a habbit of it.

I really am not overly impressed with this restaurant as a whole. They have been around as long as I can remember and used to have a wondeful reputation when I was a kid. When my hubby & I moved back several years ago, we tried eating here several times and have thought the experience was just "adequate." The food and service are decent, but nothing to write home about. One thing that I do NOT like is that there is (or was) a sealed smoking room inside. I have a strong dislike of smelling stale smoke when I am eating.
