User ReviewsRated by: Kismet Rating: 07/23/2010 02:39 AMReview Text My grandma and I stopped in for cocktails this afternoon. I had a passionfruit habernero martini and grandma had a cosmo. I cannot describe the flavor of my martini well enough other than fabulous! It was fruity on the tongue, but with a big bite at the finish. Not uncomfortably spicy, but a good kick of capsaicin. We hadn't intended to eat anything, but discovered we were a tad hungry when we started our cocktails so we shared an order of Crispy Polenta. I've never seen a more beautiful presentation, and the dish was out of this world. Two triangles of perfectly crisp polenta, sauced with a mushroom cream that was heavy with parmesan and finished with grilled peppers and onions. I convinced grandma to try one of the passionfruit habernero martini, and the second was as good as the first. The absolute only complaint we had was that the music was a tad too loud, but otherwise it was a great experience. Thanks Blondie's! I had the chicken marsala with risotto and it was one of th best chicken marsala's I have had and the risotto was wonderful. My Mom had the halibut and loved it. My sister had a salad with tofu and said the toful was really tasty. She also loved the passionfruit habanero martini! I was very pleased with dinner and the service was pretty good. The server could have been a bit more attentive. I can't wait to go back! But everything we had was great and our waitress was also top notch. excellent experience. Rated by: Lovin'Life Rating: 06/11/2010 02:01 AMReview Text While the food tasted OK, we waited nearly 45 minutes for it to be served. Our water glasses were filled three times, and baskets of bread and butter twice while we waited. Very, very poor service. My wife and I love to go out and SERVICE is so important. Rated by: SimplyHappy Rating: 04/23/2010 02:51 AMReview Text Disappointing - the salmon was dry, the veggies were undercooked (now THAT'S unusual) and it was too expensive for a very mediocre (at best) dinner. Rated by: Prophet Poblano Rating: 07/06/2009 07:36 PMReview Text A rating of C might be a little bit harsh. I think that the prices and the representation is more indicative of fine dining, though, and sadly the promise of this establishment fell a little short, at least for me.
I was there the other night. First and foremost, it was hot in there. I was literally sweating inside my shirt. It is hard to enjoy your experience when you are that uncomfortable. I think I saw another patron mention this, and they turned on some fans, but it didn't help.
The black paper napkins were another odd touch. I can understand them for lunch, but a paper napkin at dinner isn't too elegant.
The dining room is actually quite nice. I liked the ambiance.
The wine list seemed a little pricey. I ended up with a glass of something called Genie in a Bottle for $6, which was fine, but I regretted ordering in the heat. I should have ordered a coke.
We each paid $14.95 for a pasta dish. One was kung pao spaghetti and one was fettuccini with a mushroom alfredo sauce. Our server offered to upsell some chicken on the kung pao, even though the dish comes with chicken. We let her know and we didn't get charged for chicken. Both were acceptable but nothing too exciting and come with nothing except for a side of bread.
A very friendly and sweet server stopped by and we tried the banana crepe dessert she recommended after we asked about bananas. She even made it herself. When it arrived it looked fantastic. It was an exceptional presentation. The taste, though, wasn't quite as good. Not very exciting flavor and it was rather doughy.
One last comment: We've tried to just stop by about three times before this visit and we always asked, "Do you have a reservation?" So this time we phoned in to make one and were told, "Well, there's really no need for a reservation." That put us off a bit.
Oh, one other thing, they had two guys playing music, some light jazz I think, and we really enjoyed it.
We'll be back to give them another try. If they improve this place could be one of the local greats. Rated by: AnEyeForTaste Rating: 06/23/2009 07:08 PMReview Text Been to Blondie's three times now -- am a crepe fanatic. The crepes are of perfect texture and deliciousness but in all instances were served cold. The one time I did ask for a reheat I think it was microwaved and then had become leathery. Our servers have always been attentive; one time I forgot my to go box and she greeted me at the door with it upon my return to retrieve it. I was happy to see the to go boxes are paper! No styrofoam, hurray!
If I could ask for something be added to the menu, it would be any fresh berry anything -- especially crepes. Use the local fruits and berries!
Also, please, please, please won't someone make a blintz! Oh, what I would do for a plate of fresh, delicious berry-topped blintzes with REAL whipping cream on top! They serve iced hibiscus tea but unfortunately were out by the time I ordered. It must be very popular.

Since then, I was obliged to go for a friends birthday and my opinion changed completely. The food was great, bar atmosphere was nice, and a good cocktail menu w/ what looks like too-go-to-be-true happy hour specials. We started with the hummus appetizer: delicious hummus, warm pita, kalamata olives, fresh cucumber slices, and cherry tomatoes, drizzled with basalmic vinegar. I was tempted to have it for dinner too!! My friend had the fettuccini with chicken - delicious! I had the pork tenderloin with with mango chutney & safron rice. Yum yum yum. I actually ate the remaining chutney with a spoon (embarrassing but true). I can't remember what the others had, but they all raved over the food. The service wasn't great, but not bad memorable either. Overall, it changed my mind about the restaurant and I've been back several times since.
Most recently, I stopped by for lunch with friends and had the veggie pita with sweet potato fries. Heavenly. I could seriously eat that pita every single day. Hummus, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, feta, and balsalmic wrapped in a fresh warm pita... I'm getting hungry again thinking about it. Delicious!! As usual, the service wasn't anything to rave about, but I still got a drink refill & she checked in on us once.
I give the restaurant a B+ overall because I've had both good and bad experiences, although the good now outweigh the bad. If the service was better (or at least consistent) I'd give it an A. They had a rough start, but I think they're finally getting it together. They always have great service/servers, the restaurant is nicely decorated/clean etc., and their food is delicious! Rated by: JohnnyD Rating: 07/19/2008 05:26 AMReview Text Dreadful food, Dreadful service and Dreadfully loud music. The only thing the pulled pork was pulled from was the crock pot and then dropped into a food processor. Dry mush with two drops of BBQ sauce. The medium rare burger was medium well and cold. Between the two sandwiches there was not a drop of juice on the plates. The lazy waiter who specialized in ignoring us didn't have the brains to bring silverware and plates when he brought us the fresh (from the fridge) bread. No sweetener or ice tea spoon with the ice tea. No napkins. He couldn't recite the special(s)of the day. The owner on duty did not apologize for ruining our evening meal. She did suggest that if I had ordered a steak it would have been cooked correctly. I doubt it but at $17.95 for a top sirloin and no salad I wasn't about to give Larry, Curly and Mo (the cooks) the opportunity to prove me right. Stick a fork in this place. Rated by: tomtuf Rating: 04/23/2008 03:39 PMReview Text Sunday brunch was disappointing. The hollandaise sauce on my Eggs bendict was very thin and tasteless. My wife felt her Eggs Florentine suffered from excess grease. Coupled with an uninspired lunch the day before, it will be a while before we try it again, but try again we will.
