The service is always great and my whole family enjoys eating here because some get sushi and some get Chinese. My husband was unhappy with the freshness of a chicken dish a year or so ago, but it's one of my favorite places in town. In fact, I'm taking my daughter there tonight.

chow mein was so greasy that I had to sop it up with my napkin.
Same meal I always order, but never consistant. Yet I will return.........lunch is good value at $5.95 though....best of the chinese I guess for our area.

For GP, this is THE place for sushi. The portions are excellent. They could thin the fish a little bit. The tempura basket was HUGE! The atmosphere was too subdued for me. Even though there is a language barrier, I enjoyed the staff as they were prompt and engaging. I will definitely be going back.

Like their food better than when they were on G st, although take out is still hit or miss. Had sushi the last two times I visited, and it was great both times. Very fresh and the rolls weren't too big, like they are at Musashi's. I also like the kung pao

better every time. Seemed to take them awhile to work out the quirks.
$6.95 for the terriyiki salmon is fastastic, and better than mcGrath's fish house.
Also, they added green cabbage to the egg flower soup and that gave it a boost.
Jimmy has been my server the last 2 times and so nice and attentive.
I give them an "A".

Much improved. Same selection, but better taste and exclnt. service. I had a male, okder waiter (not Jack) that was attentiive. Removed dirty dishes, refilled water, pleasant.
Had the teriyaki salmon and have learned that they swim in in sauce, so asked for that on the side. Made a huge difference.
Great value.
Never thought I would do this, but I RATE them an "A."

MUCH IMPROVED......removed dirty dishes, refilled water. Did not wait a long time for food.
Egg flower soup before was like dishwater and this time it was PERFECT and robust. Excellent soup.
Had the terryiki salmon for $6.95 on the lunch. It was a very nice size on the fish, but BEWARE, there were bones, I had to be very careful. Taste was excellent.
The chow mein and fried rice were bland, but I used the sauce from the salmon to spice it up.
Spring roll is always good.
All in all, much better, and great value, but beware of the salmon bones.
Would order this again.

Only two other tables of 2 people each in the place about 4pm this sunday. I guess holiday weekend.
So why cannot they remove the dirty dishes? That seems to be a problem in many of the restaurants in GP.
Finally saw the dinner menu and pretty extensive, but no combo plates. In fact several came in asked for combo dinners and they told them they do not have that.
They left...is costing them business.
ordered garden salad, forget to say easy on the dressing or on the side and it was drenched. Drowned the lettace. I did see ample vegs...but too much dressing.
Spring rolls fairly good. 4 of them for $3
Walnut prawns ----this was a first ----prawns on one side, orange slices on the other and walnuts on the other side of the plate. I cannot understand why it was served that way. So stirred it together.
Rice comes with it and big bowl.
Was asked if wanted soda refills, which was good. I was say staff was friendly, but TAKE OFF THE DIRTY DISHES.
The above came to $16.45.
Is there better in GP? Or are we rating too low because we are used to San Francisco Chinese?
Will go back.....

I went and picked up some food here the other night. Had the calmari strips, and also ordered two chicken dishes. Both were fantastic. They had my food ready right on time, and the price is reasonable. Their restaurant is very clean, and have never had any issues with their staff.

THis might be excellent for GP, but it hard not to compare to San Francisco chinese.
I will say that the wait girl was actually friendly and smiling today....a first for us in that place.
Even offered refills on soda.
Had the brocalli beef lunch special and very salty. Not sure what sauce they had on it....but salty.
Lots of brocalli. Beef size was adequate, but not generous.
Chow mein good.
Fried rice had no veggies in it at all. Was browned, but.....
All in all, a great value. Went at 2:30 pm which was off hours, and maybe that is why service was better and speed of food arrival.

Took guests for lunch.
Service is so unfriendly and slow. Drinks not refilled, without asking many times.
Felt pushed out of the place, even though most tables empty and no one waiting.
Food okay. As good as it gets I think for Chinese in GP.
Wish you could order the dinner menu at lucnh time.

Am a chinese food junkie, first time i have eaten here, Went to lunch and was a bit dissapointed by the sparcity of food on the lunch menu, what i got tho was delicious!!!!! clean place, friendly folks serving, Next time will try dinner, probably more choices in that menu.

We visited the new location hoping that the food was better but were disappointed. It just isn't very good. What ever happened to good old wok cooking?
The sushi bar on the other hand looked interesting with fresh ingredients and that is what I am going to try the next time.

The food here is good. I have had the cheese puffs a few times, and on occasion they are way over cooked, and then other times they are perfect. Their main entrees are just awesome. The service is great, and I haven't had a problem yet. They just need to make their "good" cook work every day, and bench their "ehh..he is ok" cook.

This used to be the only place we'd go for Chinese. The quality has gone way down over the years. Shiki's was the only thing keeping this place decent.

Have tried takeout & sit down several times here, always a problem. Rice is crunchy & not appetizing. Hot & Sour soup always different, sometimes good... sometimes really bad. The prices are affordable but unfortunately very inconsistent with the food quality.

Yum! So glad this place is open again. Nothing beats a $5 lunch special that you can squirrel half of away in the fridge to enjoy tomorrow. Great service, friendly folks, and of course the hot and sour soup is to die for!

Excellent lunch specials! Amount of food for price is outstanding, but even better than that, the quality and freshness of the food was the best. Service was attentive and the decor is nice, but could use some paint.

I honestly can't understand the poor rating for this restaurant. I grew up in New York City and lived in San Francisco. I know authentic Chinese food. As far as I'm concerned, this is the ONLY authentic Chinese food in Grants Pass! I will say though that it's time to do a little interior renovation. Wallpaper ripping, etc...

I really don't understand a D rating for this place. Every time I go there, there are people who sem to be happy. Service has always been good. Thier Japanese dumplings are some of the best I have had. The California roll is the best I've found in this area and you get enough food for a good price to take home and have a second meal. Some of you that are rating this place a D, please let us know what was wrong. A very unfair rating for the quality of the place.
