Review of Johnny’s
1/12/10
I went to Johnny’s today, primarily on the basis of the high review score on Ilovegrantspass.com, and I was not disappointed. The service was friendly and personable.
I chose the Philly CheeseSteak to see if it really is as authentic and wonderful as the ratings claimed. It was even better! The huge CheeseSteak was absolutely delicious. I added the grilled mushrooms, which turned out to be a great decision.
The last CheeseSteak I had that was this good, was in the SF Bay area, at a restaurant that had just relocated from Philadelphia! This is the REAL deal. You will thank yourself for taking a trip out to Johnny’s soon.
A quick comment about the two negative ratings on the website. For some reason those two people chose to not post a review, so it’s unknown why their experience was so different from everyone else, including me. I rate Johnny’s an A+ and I will be back…the next time with friends. J

No matter what you order, it's good. Whether it's the Philly Cheesesteak or a cheesebuger or a chilidog, the food is quality and is always delicious. Plus Martin and his wife are a kick in the pants!

another philly cheesesteak. This time I asked for it to be cut in 1/3 s because it is huge.
I took home 2 pieces to share with neighbors, who had never tasted before.
Now they are hooked also.
Always a friendly greeting too.

I recently tried the Bratwurst steamed in beer on a toasted roll with grilled onions and peppers. Oh my gawd I felt like I was at a Green Bay Packers tailgate party. There is nothing in town like their Brats! They're definately not supermarket brats. They are huge. Seems like there is always something new and special on the menu.

The Philly Cheese Steak was definitely the best I've had in a long, long time. A sure A+ in and of itself.
Too bad the gal at the counter had an "oh hurry up and please don't even bother me, I'm far too important, hip and cool for you, you boring old lady" attitude.

I had the NY style Sabrett all beef dog, deep fried in the french fryer, with mustard, chili & onion and it was like nothing else in town. Johnny calls them Rippers because the skin rips open when they're done. He really knows his stuff.

I gave Johnnys a low rating based on the customer service that we received. We eat at Johnnys very regularly. We work in the same parking lot so there isnt a lot of options. I dont normally have a problem but this time I made the mistake of asking for ranch with my fries. The woman SLAMMED down the window and when I asked nicely why she was so rude she yelled at me not to eat there ever again. I had a few of my clients with me and they were all very shocked with the service. Someone sitting at the tables looked over at me and said by the way dont even try to ask for a fork! I dont think they know how to run a successful business. This is a small town and work travels fast.

Heard on this blog that Johnny's had a really good Philly Cheese-steak. Tried it...and it was excellent! The real deal...best cheesesteak I've had since Philly. Get one...you'll be glad you did.

Johnny's has the best Philly Cheesesteak I have ever had, anywhere. Their burgers are as close to IN-N-Out as you will ever find and the chili-dogs (NO-Beans) are the best in town.

I had lunch there Saturday. They were busy. I ordered a new menu item, the Classic Patty Melt ($4.95) on Rye. It's grilled like a grilled cheese with two beef pattys, four slices of Swiss, grilled onions and a pickle on the side. It was awesome. I had an order of Onion Rings that were still excellent three hours later!!! I also noticed they made the soft drink machine self serve. I like that because I like Pepsi and Diet Pepsi mixed together although they did have my favorite Diet Dr. Pepper!

I ate there twice last week. I had a foot-long chili cheese dog with mustard and onion, fries and a pepsi. The cost was $4.75!!! This was in the middle of lunch hour and it took about 10 minutes!
This was the best dog and fries I have ever had! There are other hot dogs on the menu including all beef and the old fashioned snappy skin dogs, both cost a little more. My friend had the Club Sandwich on sourdough and she loved it. It cost $4.95. So it was lunch for two under $10.00 and no waitress to tip. We did put two bucks in the tip jar.

If you like In N Out, this is a close second. Always love whatever I get. Fries are great and service is fast. Love to eat there. It's addicting.
